Competitive Salaries

A career with AFAA offers not only competitive salaries, but also the opportunity for cost-of-living increases, locality pay, and various awards such as performance awards, time-off awards, and special act awards. We also prioritize professional development and offer numerous opportunities for career growth and advancement.

Understanding Federal Pay Grades

The General Schedule (GS) classification and pay system applies to the majority of civilian federal employees in professional, technical, administrative, and clerical positions. It comprises 15 grade levels, ranging from GS-01 (the lowest) to GS-15 (the highest). Within each grade level, there are 10 step rates (steps 1-10), each contributing approximately 3 percent to an employee’s salary. Employees can advance to higher grade levels through promotions.

AFAA classifies job grades based on difficulty, responsibility, and required qualifications. Auditor positions range from GS-07 to GS-15. We also participate in intern programs such as Palace Acquire and the Premier College Intern Program. For more information, please visit www.afintern.com
